Regina Duffenais
My parents Gladys & William (Bill) Power raised me and my twelve siblings in this town and I have lived most of my adult life here as well. I learned very early from being in such a large family the need for give and take and how important it is to be flexible and accepting to the ideas of others.
During my career I have worked with various Government organizations provincially and internationally.
Since retiring I have completed contract work for various organizations including work with indigenous groups in Alberta. During my career I have been responsible for working with unions in contract negotiations, labor relations, recruitment, compensation, coaching and training of managers to list a few.
I am now retired and very interested in giving back to my community. I always had a very keen interest in Municipal Government. I enjoy watching elections and try staying on top of the issues that are important to the people in our town, Province and Country. I believe residents are entitled to know what is happening in their community and to be proud of where we live. I want respect, transparency, fairness, communication from our Council. I have drive, commitment and a desire to be a part of building our community. I do not believe one person can know everything and that is why I envision a Council that works well with residents and with each other to be productive in our roles on Council.
We have a great place to live and work in the Town of Kippens and we can accomplish so much if we are free to politely express ourselves as we are stronger together!
The following is a summary of my education and experience.
