Martin Roff
I am pleased to announce my candidacy for the Council of the Town of Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove.
The Town of Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove has been my home for over 20 years. Born in England, I came to work in Newfoundland with the oil industry in 1994. I met and married Janet (Rose) who grew up in Outer Cove, and in 2000, we bought our home in this beautiful rural community and raised our three daughters here. Moving from a highly populated area where space is at a premium, I truly value and appreciate the rural nature of our town.
My background is in Civil & Structural Engineering and in addition, for the past 10 years, I have been working in the oil industry as a Project Planner with TechnipFMC. My previous work experience and current employment as a Senior Project Planner would be advantageous in all areas of Council business.
I have developed a strong bond with this community. Throughout the years, I have attended numerous town events with my family and have greatly enjoyed the community spirit and friendships made.
I would like the chance to give back to our community and its residents and to deal with outstanding and ongoing issues while promoting open and clear communication between town residents and Council.
I would greatly appreciate your support. This is a special community. Let’s continue to preserve its qualities, spirit and nature!
