Julia Power

My name is Julia (Judy) Power. I was born into this community and my parents were Don and Patricia Hynes. I lived away for 30 years. I returned to the community after my mother passed away and I needed to care for my father. I have been married for forty years to my childhood sweetheart who also is originally from this community. I believe in helping and supporting your neighbors and I am hoping to contribute to the growth and prosperity of the community.

I work part-time at the Bay St. George’s long-term site. Before this I worked in the Halifax area for 30 years in different jobs but also volunteered in different organizations during this time. These included; Scout Canada, Enfield Ball Association, Safety Ccommittees, and plus Social Clubs just to list a few. We need to be a strong voice and have more transparency in our town. I would like to be part of a Council that brings change and respect to individuals in the town it represents.

As someone who prides themselves on being a caring person, I feel I would be an excellent voice for the town. I feel that we as a town should respect all people and strived to make Kippens a Town that leads by example.

I would certainly appreciate your support in this election but more importantly please come out and vote. We will be a stronger voice if everyone exercises their right to vote.
