Carla Pearce Martin

I have lived in beautiful kippens for over 30 years. At 23 I purchased my first home; a home that I still live in today. I raised my son, foster daughter and step-son here as well as provided care to many children and youth during my 18 year role as foster parent. I have experienced many happy times living here but also terribly sad times. The thought of moving has crossed my mind but ultimately this is my home; my house, my community, my friends and my family.

I feel it is time for me now to give back to my community. I want to strive to make this town a place where people are happy, respected; feeling included. I want to see young families move here because of the sense of community and the feeling of belongingness that exists here.
